Rice General Building is a general contracting company that specializes in custom homes, room additions, whole house remodels, kitchen and bath renovations, and exterior living spaces. We have 12 years experience in the San Diego area, and an outstanding team of employees, sub-contractors, suppliers, architects, and designers. Our team has established a reputation for providing our clients with the highest levels of design, quality, performance, value and service in each and every project we build.

Ed Rice, Owner, started Rice General Building 8 years ago. Originally from New Jersey, he graduated college in Colorado and continued west to the sun and surf of San Diego. For six years he worked as a sales manager of a small, local business. During his tenure he learned the in's and out's of operating a business, and when the company moved, he was ripe with inspiration. Starting small, he did handyman-type projects and worked odd jobs. Ed slowly started building a referral list of clients that appreciated his professionalism and ability to do what is promised. Fast forward to today, that same dedication to quality and client satisfaction has kept RGB competitive in a very tight market.

Bill Rice, Owner and brother, moved to San Diego in 2006 from Miami, FL. He holds a BFA in Photography with a emphasis in sculpture. While in Miami, Bill was a commercial photographer assistant and held a USCG Captain's License. His skills in yacht restoration translated nicely to home construction.
